Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds Live to compete with the AirPods

With an interesting design and the addition of noise cancellation, the Galaxy Buds have helped Samsung shorten the distance with Apple’s line of AirPods.

Samsung’s new pair of wireless earbuds – Galaxy Buds Live have been officially introduced, promising a new style of premium and elegant audio experience, unlike any existing wireless earbuds.
Design and features
Besides a unique pea-like design, the Buds Live’s notable features include a Qi-certified wireless charging case (can also be charged via a USB Type-C port) and active noise cancellation ( FACILITATE). Buds Live also supports all the touch gestures, such as press once to play and pause, double-tap to skip to the next song, and triple-tap to go back to the previous song.

The Galaxy Buds Live currently comes in three color options – Magical White, Magical Bronze, and Magical Black, all of which are glossy and beautiful. The remarkable thing is that their shell opens like a wedding ring box, different from all “rival” products.

Sound quality and active noise cancellation (ANC)
Sound on Galaxy Buds Live is tuned by AKG. Manufacturer Samsung promises the pair of headphones will bring deep, vivid and loud sound thanks to a dedicated vent in the ear. Along with the 12 mm speakers inside each ear is a bass tube, delivering deep, clean bass.

The Galaxy Buds Live pair has active noise cancellation.

Call quality through Buds Live will be very clear with the combination of three mic and “voice receiver”, Samsung said. The three-mic system will work to reduce background noise and focus their signal on where the user’s voice is coming from. The ANC on Buds Live will reduce low-band background noise below 700Hz, like bus and train noise, while still allowing users to hear important sounds like voices and announcements.

Bixby options
If you’re busy using a Samsung smartphone, users will be able to activate the headset with Samsung’s Bixby Smart Assistant voice and ask questions or give commands. Users can completely command the headset to send a message to a contact, check the weather, play music, …

Plus, wearers will get more customization options through the Galaxy Wear app. These include an equalizer, ANC on and off option, and custom user touch gestures.

Set of 3 new features: Buds Together, Game Mode and Swift Pair
The new Buds Together feature will allow users to share songs with friends by syncing your pair of Galaxy Buds headphones with them. The feature will work with Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Buds or Galaxy Buds + and basically allows the two to enjoy songs together, for example, on a bus.

Game Mode – Game Mode is another feature, aimed at improving audio latency, helping to enhance live streaming and gaming experiences. On the other hand, Swift Pair – the third most notable feature will easily pair the Buds Live with a Windows 10 PC, which helps a lot for work-related tasks, such as video calls.

Battery life
In terms of battery life, Samsung says, the in-ear headphones can last up to 6 hours without the charging case or up to 21 hours when charging with the box with ANC or Bixby Voice Wake turned on. When using both ANC and Bixby features, the duration will be reduced to 5.5 hours and 20 hours. With the ANC and Bixby off, the in-ear headphones can last up to 8 hours and up to 29 hours using the case for regular charging.

Regarding talk time, the manufacturer said, with ANC, the headset can last up to 4.5 hours and 17 hours with the case. With the ANC turned off, the usage time can be up to 5.5 hours and 19 hours.

Technical specifications
Samsung Galaxy Buds Live will use Bluetooth 5.0 to connect with phones and tablets. The smartphone is compatible with all iPhones running iOS 10 or later, and Android phones with at least 1.5 GB of RAM and running the operating system from Android 5.

The earbuds’ charging case is Qi certified for wireless charging, so users can conveniently charge Buds Live via reverse wireless charging on Galaxy S20 +. The Buds Live is also IPX2 water resistant, which is water resistant in some cases, for example in a gym.

In terms of size and weight, the headset measures 16.5 x 27.3 x 14.9 mm, weighing 5.6 grams. Their case measures 50 x 50.2 x 27.8 mm, weighs 42.2 grams – quite comfortable to pack and carry.

Price and date of sale
Samsung Galaxy Buds Live headphones are available for pre-order right now for $ 169.99 (equivalent to 3.93 million) and delivery today – August 6. The actual price is much more acceptable than the Apple AirPods pair. Expected, when sold, the new pair of Samsung headphones will be very popular.
